Very mixed on this one, didn’t really like it, still teared up at the end?
I wasn’t crazy about either main character, each of who had jobs that were apparently their whole personality, seasoned with some childhood trauma. Daphne wore tweed and had one nice dress, Miles had crocs and smelled like gingersnaps. I need a little more than that.
Side characters were great - Ashleigh, Julia, Harvey. I would have happily traded numerous chapters for more of them, the Dad chapters were a total yawn. And after building up the Readathon, it was squished into a few pages at the end.
I have liked previous EH books, this one just not a favorite.
