Ottessa does it again! Absolutely disgusting, but in a way that I couldn’t put down. Unlike her other novels, there was a lack of feminine characters/introspection on femininity  but rather the overarching theme was society as a whole- the ease of believing that your suffering is the status quo and how to cope when the ruling classes fail you as a community. Very intriguing as this was Ottessa’s lockdown write!
