The Shadows of Men by Abir Mukherjee
5.0
I read the first in this series last year and enjoyed it. When I say a new installment was available I put a hold on it, never suspecting it would arrive in my hands so quickly. I have read the first and fifth in the series. I did not feel lost in the book skipping all the books in between.
The setting is unusual and the time period (late 1920s) is interesting, especially in Indian history. I don't believe you have to be extremely well versed in Indian history but you should have at least some idea of the political context of the books.
Well written and enjoyable book.
