Oh, are you looking for something character-driven? COME OVER HERE. 3 main POV characters (for most of the book - more added gradually). You won't like all of them. You may not identify with any of them. But they're compelling as all heck.
And I'm a sucker for a book where everyone's all "psh, magic, of course nobody can do magic," and there's obviously a wizard RIGHT THERE.
And some of the blurbs made me think this would be all fight scenes, but they're actually quite rare. And no long LOTR-type battle scenes yet. And there's certainly no glorifying of violence.
So - on to #2!
