Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas
5.0

I understand why this book is rated so high. It was such a good read, a really deep insight into teen parenthood. The dramatic irony that comes with the prequel was really effective. We already know the baby daddy, we know the result of the test, and we know what favor King will call Maverick on. It's a mix of dread and relief watching everything set up knowing how it goes, and I just honestly had a nice time reading it.
