Let's start with what you are going to expect in this book. Then, we will dive into the rest. So what to expect, Dom/switch & sub, strangers to lovers, forbidden love (circumstantial), a dark past, family trauma, emotional scars, blue collar MMC, rags to riches, power play/power exchange, multiple partner scenes, collar & leash, aftercare, BDSM club, found family, protective MMC, indebted FMC, sex auction gone wrong, voyeur, share me, bondage, sex dungeon/pleasure room.

I actually really liked this one, as is my normal. I have yet to find a book that I haven't liked. I adored the FMC's growth. My heart just broke for her in the beginning, and by the end, I was just so proud of this church girl. I don't know what it was, but in this one, the whole church good girl really did it for me and just sucked me right in.

So, who is this FMC? Well, that would be Kathy. She's just doing the best that she can to take care of her mom and pay for her mom's care.

Cayden, a minor character, took advantage of Kathy and ended up abusing her trust. By the time Kathy meets out MMC, she is fighting to find a way to get herself out from under Cayden and to get away from him. She just wants her freedom and her life back.

Now we have our MMC Tyson. It's love at first sight for him when he first sees her when she opens the door at Cayden's one day. From that first second, Tyson knows that something is wrong with Kathy and Cayden's relationship, and something is just not right.

The themes of BDSM she the instant trust that Kathy had in Tyson even though the relationship they start is far from typical. It also reminds us all that no matter what kind of relationship you have and at what stage you are at in your relationship, trust is important.

While this book is part of a larger series, each book can be read in order or each on its own as a standalone. Each one makes perfect sense being read on its own.

The one issue that I had with this book was that our couple never did it face to face, and this took a lot of creativity on the part of the author with the kink and amount of scenes, but my issue with it is that there is a lack of connection. I feel like our couple never fully connected on every level, and this left me wanting a bit.

Overall, this was a good book, and if you are in the mood for an easy read with kink, lots of spice, then this will be the book for you.
