Komi Can’t Communicate continues to impress me with how they convey the chemistry between characters. Additionally, I love how this volume explored certain comedic relief character’s deeper layers and emotional intelligence.

I loved that this volume gave a slightly closer look at Komi’s family life, particularly the relationship between her and her father. While it is clear that Komi clearly gets her looks from her mother, it looks like she might get some of her personality traits from her father.

For example, she shares his intense and striking facial expressions and some communication habits. Unlike Komi, it doesn’t appear that her father has a communication disorder and is able to communicate verbally just fine. However, he does seem to be a man of very few words. I found the nonverbal communication between Komi and her father to be very sweet and heartfelt. This moment really showcased the special bond they have with one another without that much dialogue.

Overall this volume was packed with slice of life goodness and subtle, yet tender heartwarming moments. Yet again the team behind this manga has delivered another great addition to the series!
