I read this series first when I 11 years old and I read all of it. All 12 books, all 5 extensions.
Now at the end of march I started this very first reread and expected to hate it since I aged in these past seven years I'd say quite a lot.
But I love it still.
Back when I finished the series for the first time I looked up some reviews and was met with a lot of discontent. Especially at the way the characters behave.
And now a few years later I definitely see it. I am often annoyed at the main characters but I doesn't bug me as much as I'd thought.
I still think it is a valuable story. I come from a background of Wicca and see a lot of Witchcraft influences within the story and it normalizes it which is the most important thing when you try to educate people.
I know I might sound a little insane and you don't have to agree with me but I think it is very interesting and important to also have "paganism" rep in a YA book series.
