Honestly, I already forgot what this book was about, so I need to dig into my memories first.
The book revolves around two grieving people who share an "unusual love," with a touch of surrealism (and trooma*cough). For such an intriguing premise, the plot is surprisingly mundane. Reading this book feels like floating on a lake and seeing a cloudy sky crawling over your head—atmospheric, but most of the time I was wondering where it was going to end up.
Too much inner monologue, anyway. I didn’t feel much after finishing it, but I’ll definitely read Kitchen. There’s something in Yoshimoto’s writing style that ensnares me.
