Why are Colgan's books so long?! They are so sweet and I do enjoy them but I think for every book I've read of hers, if she just cut 100 pages it would be even BETTER. We don't need so much background to get a sense of the characters. Small seaside town vibes, cast of eclectic small town characters and a down on her luck girl looking for a fresh start make for a quaint, lovely book and that's definitely what you get. Add a cute little puffin too! What almost RUINED it for me was the audiobook narration. It was not the vibe, people. Skip this one on audio. I went back to reading it in print and liked it INFINITELY better. Can NOT recommend on audio.
