In 2023, I was pregnant with little girl and had pregnancy anxiety like you'd never believe. So when I was reading Before I Let Go, I had to put it down because the topic of pregnancy loss was a little too much for me. But I told you all I knew for SURE it was a solid book, and I absolutely love Kennedy Ryan's writing. Completely honest, I legit pounced on this ARC when I saw it come up on NetGalley, and reading it was an absolute gift.

📕 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: This Could Be Us by Kennedy Ryan

📙 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Skyland character series. Book 2.

📗 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: E-book ARC on Kindle, courtesy of NetGalley.

📘 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗲: Contemporary romance

📔 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: Forbidden, all of the pining, slow burn.

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Soledad is a force of a woman, raising three daughters and running a household when the unthinkable happens, and the life she once knew is completely shattered. As she attempts to repair herself, she's drawn to the man who had a hand in ruining the happily-ever-after she thought she had.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: Kennedy Ryan is an absolute powerhouse. I haven't picked up a book of hers that I haven't given five stars to, and This Could Be Us is no different.

I don't want to give any spoilers, because this book took some turns I wasn't expecting and I don't know about you, but I love gasping in surprise. So I will leave some of the story details out... but I absolutely adored this book. It was just as much about Soledad healing herself as it was her finding the man she deserves in Judah. And the complexity of Judah's two sons having autism, and Soledad's situation with her family, they were two characters that deserved the peace and love they found.

It was definitely contemporary romance - it did a great job of character development, and was definitely a slow burn, but it packed some heat in the second half. I need to make more space in my reading schedule to read her backlog, for sure.

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀: If you want to dig into more Kennedy Ryan, I highly recommend the All the King's Men duet.
