Hmmm…started off as a 5/5, slowly became a 4/5, then quickly became a 3 or even a 2/5. The storyline became increasingly dark and quite disturbing. The author writes smoothly and in a way that grabs the reader for sure. But several moments felt far-fetched and unnecessary, as if they were  there simply to churn the reader’s stomach. Maybe that’s the point, but I didn’t like it!😬

Would not recommend. I don’t like finishing a book with a pit in my stomach!
