mamap 's review for:
Emperor of Thorns
by Mark Lawrence
It's hard to quantify this book. So harsh and cruel. And not for kids.
And yet, out of the harshness and awfulness - he saves the world.
Imagine a world 1000 years after a nuclear apocalypse where will now forces the world to be - upstaging reality. The old tools of the "builders" would destroy that world completely. Jorg wants to change the predicted outcome.
Maybe the author wanted us all to believe that being just plain stubborn is a good thing.
PG 18 for language, content
