Unfaithful: An unputdownable and absolutely gripping psychological thriller by Natalie Barelli

4.0

This book follows a college math teacher who has the “perfect family” but then she starts to have suspicions that her husband is cheating on her. Her job and her family are the only things she cares about. She tries to excel at work to provide for her family and support her husband in his art career.

She starts working with a kid on his thesis to assist him in solving the Penrith-Stone conjecture, a task she tried at a young age but never figured it out.

You see the main character lose herself with anxiety, guilt, and alcohol throughout the book as she tries to understand all the crazy twists that seem to be happening all at once.

This plot of this book was very interesting to me, but as I started reading, I kept losing interest in continuing. I felt like it was boring for 75% of the book. I felt like the main character was losing her shit. But then the last 25% changed my mind.

The way the author threw twist after twist at you really drew me back onto the book. I did not see the ending coming at all. The last few chapters have ALOT going on but it wasn’t overpowered.

I enjoyed how the book was ended. It was wrapped up well, but I still only rated this book a 3.75 ⭐️’s.
