Tears of Gold by Sierra Knoxly

reread

there is a lot of ableist terms in this series which annoying. i get that someone v powerful getting injured would lead them saying things like that but it’s done flippant way which gross and doesn’t really add to the story. i think harper straight up says the r word at some point.

the writing is repetive. the characters have the same type of conversation and though a bout ten times each. luckily v skippable.

the movement of time is not done well. it’s been three months but it doesn’t feel like that. at the beginning it felt less and now it’s more than three months.

anyway i enjoy the mm in this as it’s pretty slow burn ish. ava is so perfect in these guys eyes that there was no in building anything there.

at this point im cont bec i want to see how van fits. i tried book six without reread and i remembered v few details about characters.

i enjoyed this book. the main plot is interesting even though it was put on the back side for the romance.

the romance between the mmc and mfc is not that interesting bec it’s super insta. mm though was done so well. it was slow and took its time. the down side to the mm is they freq made their relationship about the mfc which is an ick for me. i don’t like it bec it’s like straight guys asking women to kiss bec it’s hot vibes. i wish the author took her time with mfcs relationship building like she did the mmcs instead of giving her amnesia for angst.

anyway on to the next!
