this book was 10x better than frankenstein, hands down. i’m not the biggest fan of retellings but this book was just so good. elizabeth and justine went looking for victor in london and from then on the story took a turn. justine ended up dead, henry needed up being the creature, victor killed two of his brothers and his father, it was just a wonderful mess. i think the creature ending up being henry was the biggest plot twist, that why he went missing and never wrote back after he found victor. also victor sending elizabeth to the mental asylum was very wild. the ending was good though, mary, adam (the monster), and elizabeth ended up killing victor (more like letting him die bc he came back for elizabeth) and then she died as well but nary and adam brought he back to life. i’ve never read a book like this before, it was amazing.
