Esi what did we learn? Men are scum and it’s best to stay away from them. Such a brilliant book that tiptoes between what it means to be an educated woman who still falls or bow to tradition. The women in this book, Esi and Opukoya pick and choose what areas of their lives they’ll rebel against. It’s fascinating, frustrating and especially true for educated African women. Above all, I love their friendship, and how they seem to have boundaries and respect for one another even if they don’t necessarily agree.
