The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

4.0

This is technically the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone. The characters were interesting and there were some good twists, but there was a lot to try to keep track of. Some of the chapters were very short and pov switched between at least 8 characters, which made the book feel like it was written as a screenplay.

I wasn’t a fan of the romance between the main characters, there was no romantic build then was just added in on the final pages. It seemed forced and like it was added just because the two main characters were a man and a woman, especially because less than two days prior the main character was still thinking about his love interest from the first book. It would have been just as good as a book if they parted as friends.
