Was given this book and it turned out to be a re-read, I remembered just enough to somewhat spoil the reveal but not enough to stop me enjoying it.
A true crime podcaster visits small town North Carolina for a rape case trial, and finds it difficult to present a truly balanced view of both sides. She also finds herself embroiled in the story of a young woman who died 20+ years ago, reported as an accidental drowning but family members disagreed.
Rachel, the podcaster, isn't presented as a truly rounded character so I don't feel any great desire to read more in the series, but would likely read this author again if her books fell into my lap.
