This book deeply hurt my feelings. The concept is brilliant and I was super excited for this but nothing really happens. It's mostly just the author self insert character running around his hometown doing the most mundane things.  The book could absolutely get away with the quaint navel gazing if the craft was there, a book can say nothing if its beautifully written but alas...
