Book Review - Ship of Destiny

Rating 10/10 ⭐️

I absolutely loved The Mad Ship, a 10/10 masterpiece, Ship of Destiny somehow was even better.

What a sensational ending to this brilliant trilogy.

Everyone will know I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Farseer Trilogy, however, this trilogy has cemented Robin Hobb as an absolute master of her craft in my eyes.

This series has everything you could want from a reading experience, from the awesome world to the phenomenal characters, did I mention dragons.

My favourite part of this whole series is Hobb masterful characters, her ability to make you love the despicable and hate the innocent, while flip flopping your opinion of each character from chapter to chapter.

The star of this book for me was Malta, in books one and two I really detested her whining self righteousness. However, in book three she was instrumental to the story and delivered so many great scenes.

Again this is just another example of Hobb being a master of her craft.

It’s hard to speak too much more about this book and series without diving into spoilers but please give Liveship Traders a go, you won’t regret it!

I honestly believe everyone should read a Hobb series in their lifetime. The Liveship Trader would be my choice.
