The Alice Equation by Davina Stone
3.0

This was an easy read, well written, and okayish, general plot. I probably can’t recall anything about the characters or the plot soon, which is fine from times to times.

I do feel the need to point out that I was a bit disappointed how Alice’s best friend Polly’s dieting (and attempts to being small sized figured) are so casually mentioned. A bit as a gimmick or just part of her character like it was nothing (I don’t think I need to explain how unhealthy this is). Also, I didn’t like that Alice and Aaron were friends for five years, and he didn’t show interest in Alice other than being friends, until she replaced her glasses for contact lenses, and wore a dress with pearls instead of shirt and jeans. Like, seriously?! I thought the romance community got over this for years already. How shallow of a guy do we let women settle with that they only appreciate you when you dress differently?
So, no - just no - to the make over trope, okay?
