I loved being back in this post-apocalyptic world that Claire Kent has so artfully crafted. Lilah was relatable in being a tough survivor who is also soft and working through the harshness of the world she now living in. Deck, in classic Claire Kent fashion, is a silent sentinel, determined to protect Lilah no matter the cost. The evolution of their relationship felt organic and I loved watching their chemistry evolve. Can't wait for more books in this series!
