I never wrote a review of this book after I read it 3.5 years ago, probably because it left me so emotionally raw and devastated. At the same time I loved it, I hated what it did to me, and agonized over the fate of some of the beloved characters in the story. I think this is the book that I will compare and have compared all subsequently read Star Wars books to.

Feelings aside, it had what makes Star Wars work. Battles, sacrifice, action, love and of course, plenty of lightsaber action!
