Romeo and Juliet by T.J.B. Spencer, William Shakespeare

4.0

I read this a year ago, and I was puzzled by the new language, but I understood enough to know that it wasn't my favourite.

I know it's about love and tragedy, but between two teens who've known each other a day and then get married and take their lives? Seriously?!

The romantic language is what got me. It's beautiful, poetic and romantic, and would make anyone swoon to hear that spoken to them. That's why I gave it three and not one stars.

Let's hope others like Macbeth and Hamlet are better.
