Interesting. I liked she-who-shall-not-be-called-Janina and her capricious use of Capitals. I found myself curious how “accurate” the astrology was.
I was genuinely surprised by how the murders happened. I wasn’t necessarily trying to figure out how they all died, and I wouldn’t call the book a thriller, but there’s definitely a payoff.
I’m kind of surprised that this book sparked such furor in Poland. I’m not sure how long the entire story will stick with me, but I’m confident the idea of treating animals with real respect will percolate in my mind for a while. In the meantime, I’m glad Janina is out there doing Janina things.
Moderate: Animal cruelty, Animal death, Murder
