This book was truly amazing. I just couldn’t put this book down once I started it. Ari James, a curvy black woman, is someone I can relate to. She is confident in herself and her talent. But it is others that try to knock her down. From comments about her weight to her being the only Black woman in architect firm. She is the true definition of working hard regardless of the setbacks. But it’s once she moves back to Atlanta where she meets Porter Harrison. There story seemed to be love at first sight. With Porter being a senior associate at the firm. He meets the new junior associate, Ari James. Together they are working to build a soccer stadium. But with the time they become close. Soon something sparks. It is with Ari’s previous firm that has left her from trying something new. But also in the process, Porter discovers that what he worked for wasn’t meant for him in the end. But it is in this book we are able to see the passion and love that Ari and Porter have.
