I liked this book. I saw the big twist ending coming from page 15, which was disappointing because I wanted to be surprised, but it gave me an interesting lense reading the book. Me & Emma is about two sisters in the country who are undergoing abuse at the hands of their stepfather. Written from an 8-year- old's point of view, much of the underworkings of adult life and themes had to be inferred by the reader. I am an Elementary Education major and found it to be a great insight into the way a child might think about their home life as well as cope with grief and hardship. I read the entire book in 3 days. THREE.
