The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon was just as magical and heartfelt as I was expecting, if not more. I love the way that Nicola Yoon can build such deep emotions in such short times and this book is no exception. I love the unique approaches to love that Yoon takes, and the scientific approach made me laugh and smile throughout the day we are with our characters. I’m definitely a believer in love at first sight like Daniel, and to see him follow his heart 100% struck the hopeless romantic in me. I’m usually not a fan of strictly romance stories, but I think that Yoon uses this romance to bring up a lot of other important points including immigration, discrimination, and how we are all connected in one way or another. Our choices matter and effect others, which I think is a huge part of why this story was so moving, even outside of the romance. I really loved this novel, and I think it’s well worth the read!
