Written like a soap opera in that there is always an AH-HA! to counter an opponent's moves until the final AH-HA! moment. Cute, but it makes a better anime, in my opinion. The different duel monsters are the selling point for this story, so seeing them in action kind of makes the experience worth it. However, the story itself isn't anything special.
