Annika (Sparrow) runs away from home after an attack on her family, leaving behind her brother Ranger and her bodyguard Kane. Kane is an alpha who knew that Annika was his scent match but she was barely legal so he didn't feel like she was ready to know. When the attack went down, Annika felt distrust, shot Kane and ran. She finds herself in Vegas where she starts to rebuild her life in a club and works with her 'boyfriend' Grady. Grady knows she is his mate, but she doesn't and he's keeping secerets and knows how she had a previous identity and everything about her past. He was hired by the pack to kill her but for the past 1 or so years, they've built a true relationship and his priorities immediately change to her, and her only. Annika meets two of her other mates at the club she works at and their relationship starts when Annika is hunted and attacked by the same people again, but this time, Kane finds her and Cas and Ward know her brother without realising. This book was good. I like how the guys did everything to protect her and put her first, especially her needs without letting their emotions get the better of them. There was a lot of communication and Annika wasn't an ungrateful and annoying character. She was realistic and fun to read about.
