Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout

4.0

I didn't really know what the expect from this book, and I was confused that, when it starts, it's not from Olive's point of view. We don't even see her for the first little bit. But soon I found the perceptions people had of her, and who she really was blended together to create a complete picture of Olive as well as granting snapshots of other characters lives. The method of storytelling intrigued me, and while I feel satisfaction over the resolution of Olive's story, there were too many others lingering that left me a bit unsatisfied. Still, the narrative nature of this book is compelling enough to deserve the four star rating.
