This was a difficult book to read, it was raw and real and very distressing to read. The story of Vanessa is heartbreaking as you see a young girl blaming herself for things that she isn’t to blame for and to suffer because of the actions of others and it’s a story that shows how differently trauma effects people and how it can take a huge amount of time to come to terms with the reality of a situation.
