Little Mermaid and Other Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Andersen

4.0

Average rating: 4 stars exactly, but I enjoyed this reread 5 stars worth

I highly recommend this collection of Andersen’s fairy tales. Not only are the illustrations and interactive elements absolutely gorgeous and immersive, but they are a collection of his best and most iconic and most Andersen tales. It’s a selection of his most quintessential works, many of which you may recognize without expecting to. Man, I love Grimm’s fairy tales, but Andersen just has a way about his fairy tales that can’t be replicated. Where Grimms’ tales are darkly funny and magical, Andersen’s are warmer, sadder, and more fleshed out.
