The Love Remedy by Elizabeth Everett

2.75

This is going to be a quick review.

While this book was pleasant to read, I struggled to stay engaged. In fact, my longest hiatuses from the book were when sex scenes started. I could put the book away. Who even am I?

I love what Everett did here with the characters and their professions! I lived for the spicy chemistry at the beginning. But then the relationship fizzled for me and it all felt just a bit flat? The zing was gone from the relationship and I was struggling, even to make it thru intimate scenes.

I guess I feel like the intimacy and vulnerability was never there for me in the partnership. And despite being well written, easy to read, and easy to root for this was just not singing for me the way I would think it would on paper..
