This is probably my favorite Shadowhunter book and series so far!!
At one point, I had to stop reading and just walk away because I couldn't deal with all the emotions. Shadowhunter books are generally thin on plots but this book has a very engaging murder mystery, which added an extra layer to the existing complexities of this world and was very fun to read. Adding to that is an excellent cast of characters, who are all very precious and needs all the love in the world.
I still don't like Grace, I sympathize with her and I understand that in many ways she has been a victim.However, she is only now begun to understand how damaging her actions might have been and I still think she needs to set things right and redeem herself. I am truly hopeful that Cassie Clare will give us a great redemption arc for her.
I can't talk about how heartbreaking that ending was..I hated it but also loved it.. and I have so much hope for the next book despite that ending. Cassie Clare has never failed to deliver a fantastic finale and I am very hopeful that at the end everything will be set alright and these precious characters will find their happiness.
