The Push by Ashley Audrain

Wow! I have so much to say, and none of it seems adequate. This book is gut wrenching, raw, and disturbing in the best way. I could not stop reading because every time I had to put it down, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I felt every single moment of Blythe's experience. The author does such a good job of putting us in Blythe's head, it's impossible not to feel it. It's a fascinating exploration of the expectations of motherhood and of the nature vs nurture debate. I'll be thinking about this one for a long time.
