This third book in the Palace Chronicles series picks up where Palace of Mirrors left off. Desmia and her twelve sister-princesses are having their official coronation and learning to work together. They have finished negotiating a peace treaty with Fredisia through Ella & Jed, bringing to an end the long war. Just when it seems they will all have a happily ever after, disaster strikes. Now it is up to Desmia to open up and trust people, or lose her kingdom and her new found "sisters" in the process. An excellent conclusion of the trilogy. It is important to read them in order. Recommended for grades 4-7.
