I feel like I didn’t process this book well enough to write a proper review. I did find that I related to Frances in that I also struggle with identity/personality and wanting  to be liked/seem interesting.
However, she seems to create like 99% of the conflict in the book by being withholding for no apparent reason, so. I don’t know if that’s supposed to be the point? Like she doesn’t reveal anything about herself as a means of seeming more interesting, but ultimately hurts the people who are already interested in her by doing so? Also for a book called conversations with friends she seems spend a lot of time avoiding conversations… with her friends.
I will say I had to google a chapter by chapter synopsis of everything that happened because I found it all blended together by the end.
