I get why some people are bothered about the portrayal of disabled people here, but I feel like it wasnt horrible. One of the pov characters literally acknowledges that she saw her child's behaviour as wrong instead of usual kid stuff because of his autism and regrets not treating him lovingly. It would've been better to have an an autistic pov character, but considering how messed up everyone is, I'm not sure how that would've helped in regard to stereotypes.
