I am so frustrated at every character in this book and somehow I’ve come out absolutely loving it and immediately ordering the next book. Hobb creates such insanely incredible characters, even the side-characters seem fleshed out and ‘real’. Her writing is impeccable, the world building is so fun to read and the magic systems she incorporates balance perfectly between logic and mysticism - I am so glad I have begun on the Realm of the Elderlings journey - epic fantasy at its finest.
