Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan

5.0

Real footage of my cold heart thawing after reading this little cutie of a book.

I haven't enjoyed a chick-lit/romance book this much since reading [b:The Rosie Project|16181775|The Rosie Project (Don Tillman, #1)|Graeme Simsion|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1371651741l/16181775._SY75_.jpg|22084678] in 2014... it's been a while.

Read this in one day, absolutely adored Arthur and Bernie, such well behaved sweeties. Nora is unlike our usual chick-lit heroines. She's not clumsy, oblivious, self-pitying, yada, yada. She is a mom of two and she is ON IT. There is a fair amount of silliness and "could have been easily avoided" conflict buuut , this is a chick-lit after all, it is to be expected.

Perfect summer read, this book delivers. Or as my Gen Z besties like to say, "This book is GIVING"
