i don't want to be mean but this book was nothing special, it served its purpose of me wanting to read a romance book but it didn't shock me or change the way i think in anyway. the strongest emotion i felt was a little awwww when he got her the birthday cake she dreamed of as a kid but the romance was just so-so, the characters felt complex yet in a sort of tried and tested way that meant there wasn't anything particularly unique about them. i think its hard to write a truly original romance book that wows me so i guess I'm probably being unfairly harsh on it, i just find most romances to be repetitive and very similar to each other and this one was no exception. still it was just what i needed as an alternative to the 900 page high fantasy i was reading at the same time as this one. ok but we never really got an explanation for why the day was repeating, its sort of hinted at that its something to do with nates brother eric but it just felt like a lazy ending with no real definitive answer. it infruates me when books try to cover up a gap in the plot by going ta daaaaa now the main two charecrers are a couple (dont ask questions about the glaring plot holes)
