๐‘ป.๐‘พ: You can't stop crying and laughing

๐Ÿ’ญ It's been a while since I rated a book five ๐ŸŒŸ, it's that good, and man I cried!! It was tough to control your emotion, especially at the end but at the same time, there was a smile on my face.

This book is the celebration of life, wisdom, loss, and love. You will find characters with wisdom and heart who care and trust each other. The friendship in the book is so beautiful, the kind we all hope for in our lifetime. Friends like Lenni, Arthur, and Margot are hard to come by. And this book again reminds us that friendship is not restricted to the age bracket. It comes in all ages,  you just have to look and find it.

The life stories of Lenni and Margot tell are the heart and soul of this book, between them at the age of 83(Margot) and 17(Lenni) together they lived hundred years.

It was a treat to read a chapter of Father Arthur and Lenni. It was both hilarious and at the same time provide us with a very unique perspective on things.
Margot,  I don't know whether she was very lucky or not.
She found three partners in her lifetime. She met Johnny on the train, Meena at the Police station, and Humphrey in the middle of the road!! Where people are not even lucky to find their one true love, she found two of them, and yet she was left alone at the last till she met Lenni.

The part where Margot realized that Humphrey was acting that he didn't recognize her so that he can say goodbye to her and free her at the same time was so heartbreaking.
And that's the kind of love my friend is very rare and I hope so I will find it someday๐Ÿคž.

Cronin took 6 years to write this book and I think it was worth it! These characters will stay with me for a very long time!!
Thank you, Marianne, โค๏ธ

"You canโ€™t fix a problem until youโ€™ve faced it head-on.โ€™

"Lenni, answers donโ€™t always come in the form of words. They can come in a variety of forms.โ€™

"We canโ€™t know why you are dying in the same way that we canโ€™t know why you are living. Living and dying are both complete mysteries, and you canโ€™t know either until you have done both.โ€™

"The doors that donโ€™t make a show of themselves usually have the best stuff behind them."

"I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."

"Hostility is fine. Itโ€™s the sympathy that kills you."

"My heart belonged then, as it does now, to that funny, starry man who took my pieces of life and helped me make a whole one."
