Reckoning by Lili St. Crow

"No Rating" because I don't have the heart to give this book a 2. :(

I've read a long list of too many series/trilogies to know what a good closing should feel like. Find some resolution in your love triangle, take for example Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Princess Epilogue aka tear fest, to know what I mean. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to feel solid. Loose ends tied, some fluttery wonder for the saps that like to bask in the imagination. Something to leave your readers like they never want the series to end, but after many sequels after, please, "just let it go" type of thing.

Goddamn it, why couldn't I have had that here?!

I just don't know what to make of it. It was a mess. Is there a book missing? Please tell me I missed the memo and maybe they forgot to print out a book that I DIDNT READ.

I just don't understand and can't comprehend how someone can leave everything so unraveled. There's no canon to this series. It's up the reader to finish, cool, I get that. All readers are happy with whatever pairing they choose, but umm what about addressing the Maharaj situation? What about closing other character's story lines? *cough* ASH?! *cough*

Give me some finale! I want to know what happened to the rest of the finale!!

*proceeds to cry self into desperation*

P.S. I can't even properly review this entire book because that ending had me going apeshit. I was done. And that's because I actually liked this series as a whole because it was light, action packed, and entertaining. But goddamnit that ending no, why? I'm done. JESUS.
