I think it's safe to say that I do not like pandemic books and that this is the book that I've cared least about so far in my slow-going journey of reading Emily St. John Mandel's books. I really loved Station Eleven, and while I didn't love The Glass Hotel, I at least still found it interesting, but this was so so boring and I found myself getting distracted by every possible thing while reading it. I wish I'd enjoyed reading this more because I really do love Mandel's writing, but this wasn't the book for me.
