The Beach Trap by Ali Brady

4.0

This is the perfect beach read! A sweet story about two half sisters coming together after a long separation to fix up their grandparents beach house with some romance thrown in. I liked that this book was told from both Blake and Kat's perspectives so the reader could see both sides of the story. I also really liked Blake and Noah. However, I wasn't as big a fan of Kat and Henry. It was obvious Kat wasn't supposed to be likable at the beginning but to me it felt like the growth happened a little too late and a little slowly. I appreciated that Henry helped her grow but I felt like they were still so different I wasn't sold on them. I also felt like it was a stretch to feel like Kat was ready to be a step mom anytime soon. That being said I really did enjoy this book. You basically get two romances in one and a story about a family. I also loved the setting and always enjoy a book about fixing up a house. Worth adding to your summer reads shelf!
