Dr. Stanton by T.L. Swan
3.0

Spice scenes were there but the plot wasn't it for me...

Plot:
Cam and Ashley meet in Vegas and have a wild one-night stand. He gets her number but loses his phone. Flash forward 5 years and Ashley is starting her residency program at an LA hospital. Cam works at the same hospital and things rekindle. She is working at an exclusive gentleman's club on the side.

One thing I did notice is that I think the book is supposed to be in the US but the characters definitely use the Queen's English. I love TL Swan and this book was good, but the plot was perhaps not for me.
SpoilerAnd let me be clear, I don't mind the pregnancy trope or secret baby trope. BUT... I do not like to see the FMC's take back crappy MMC's without a decent amount of grovelling! I'm sorry, if someone tried to have my kid taken from me, it would take a lot longer than 9 weeks to get over it!

Characters:
I loved where it started but man was I really disappointed in both of the them by the end (for different reasons). Cam is a richy, rich surgeon who teaches at the hospital for Ashley's program. He is entitled, disconnected, and stubborn. He lives a bachelor lifestyle and quite frankly is quite self-centered. Ashley is intelligent professionally but emotionally immature. I think I hoped for a stronger FMC but I believe she is a realistic representation of what we see with many women in relationships.

Narrator(s):
Dual narration which is always my preferred. It keeps it interesting! Narrators are Elena Wolfe and Stephen Dexter. Stephen does a decent Aussie accent and Elena has a pleasant voice
