I loved this book and by the end of it, i cant believe im saying this, i dont hate Chaol anymore. I do think this book dragged on so much longer than it needed to and i got POVs that honestly i just didnt want but i can see how they were important for me to understand motives of the characters and also understand what was going on at all times as there is alot going on in this book. Still taking away a star though as i had to sit through so many Chaol POVs and now i get to read a whole book about him.. yay me.
One thing ive got to give credit to sjm for is the fact that she made me feel bad for the king of adarlan and anytime i see any fucking tiktok about the line in this book where he says to aelin about coming to save him, ugh arrow straight through my heart jfc
