Sam, even though she's been through a lot, she's still holding on to pull down everything that's dearest to her father Her refuge is Chris, who always waited for her with open arms. It takes some time for Sam to finally accept Chris, but when she does, every moment between them is so adorable, even when Sam is a little mean to him.
I really liked the dynamic between them, and how Chris was always there for her. He knew how to give her space when she needed it and that he didn't hesitate to show her that she can be loved.
I really recommend this book if you are looking for a book where the FMC is a badass and doesn't stop until she gets what she wants, and a cinnamon roll hero who is ready to love her no matter what.
